In a collaboration between VELUX and SMALLrevolution, the Home Office Desk was born — a multifunctional, 100% circular piece of furniture designed for modern, flexible workspaces. This desk repurposes plastic waste from VELUX’s test centre, transforming it into a functional and design-led object perfectly suited for small home offices.
THE CHALLENGE
Plastic waste is an inevitable byproduct of production, and VELUX wanted to transform this material into something meaningful. The challenge was to create a piece of furniture that was not only practical and adaptable for home office use but also grounded in circular design principles and VELUX's commitment to reducing waste.

THE SOLUTION
Together with SMALLrevolution, VELUX developed the Home Office Desk in a multifunctional design. The piece transforms from a desk for virtual meetings into a sleek display unit after hours. Made entirely from repurposed plastic waste sourced from VELUX’s own test centre, the desk is designed to balance both functional and aesthetic needs in small home office spaces.
